BENDER endpin assembly with titanium tube is very light, only 170 grams.

Klaus Bender has designed a unique endpiece to hold the precious titanium endpin. It is made of aluminum, and it’s  screwed into the cello instead of just push fitted. Thus the contact between cello and endpin is much tighter than with regular wooden or plastic endpieces. The endpin is clamped with a non-slip collet nut., which makes for comfortable loosening and tightening. BENDER endpin with titanium tube offers a rich and powerful sound.

Form: The big, non-slip collet nut can be safely used even with damp hands – and it still looks good into the bargain. The collet is easy on the right hand even for players with small hands.

Material: The cones of the Klaus Bender endpin and end button are made of aluminum. They have more mass than the regular wooden or plastic cones, a fact that has been tested and shown to improve the sound. Weighing only 135g (4.3 ounces) the cello endpin with a carbon rod is still one of the lightest on the market. Aluminum is not influenced by changes in temperature or humidity. The Klaus Bender cone thus firmly remains in the instrument, a big advantage for musicians who do a lot of traveling.

Cello cone diameters: 23.5 mm, 25 mm, 26.5 mm, 28 mm

Endpin diameter: 10 mm

Endpin length: 60 cm (24 inches)

Service: All components of the Klaus Bender endpin can be ordered separately. The tempered rod tip can be exchanged.

The clamping mechanism of the KLAUS BENDER endpin system consists of 3 parts: A plug, a clamping cone, and a clamping nut. Turning the nut changes the diameter of the clamping cone, thus securing or releasing the endpin rod. The threads on the nut and the plug have to be kept lubricated in order to ensure proper function and longevity. If the clamping nut doesn‘t move smoothly or produces a creaking noise while turning, unscrew it completely, then apply a small portion of the supplied silicon grease only to the thread of the nut. If the grease has touched the rod, use acetone or nail polish remover to clean it off.

ATTENTION: THE MANUFACTURER ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY FOR MALFUNCTION OR DAMAGE IF THE ENDPIN IS USED WITH THE CLAMPING THREAD RUNNING DRY AND/OR THE CLAMPING CONE NOT INSERTED PROPERLY IN THE CLAMPING NUT.
